After the first day of her Psychology 101 class, Jessica’s eyes were opened to helping others by providing a space to facilitate healing. Through her participation in various ministry roles, she became passionate about providing a compassionate and open space for others to tell their story, identify the root of their struggle, and move forward confident in their Christ-given identity.
Jessica is excited about working with those of all ages but is particularly passionate about early intervention and working with children. She firmly believes that instilling coping skills and beginning the healing process as early as possible is vital for setting up the next generation for success. Jessica also has a heart for teenagers and young adults as they deal with challenging transitionary periods and moments of identity formation. Whether it be individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relational issues, low self-esteem, or other life challenges, Jessica strives to approach each client with compassion, respect, and care in each session.
Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Music from Trinity Christian College. She is now pursuing her Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Alongside her studies, Jessica is the worship director on staff at a local church. Her drive in this position is to lead others into a deeper understanding of God through music. Alongside planning music, she regularly meets with her volunteers to hear their stories, listen deeply, and disciple them towards a deeper love for God and intimacy with Him.
