Sam came to love therapy when he was able to attend sessions while serving as a pastor. During this time, he was able to navigate and process difficult experiences and truly grow in his own identity as a child of God.
With experience in working with near-teens and teenagers (ages 12-18), as well with as individuals working through anxiety, depression, ADHD, or difficult life transitions, Sam believes that the therapy room is a special place where we build safety—and in that safety, we can build confidence to grow. Additionally, Sam has experience in working with couples through difficulty with communication, conflict, and affairs. Sam wants to hear people's stories, work with them or their loved ones, and see people thrive!
Having received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, Sam first used his degree by serving in youth ministry for several years. Upon receiving his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College, he began working as a therapist. With these two degrees, Sam hopes to help clients to develop healthy coping mechanisms and process emotions in healthy ways so that we may grow in our ability to glorify God in who we are and enjoy Him forever.
