Lori Boutelle, LPC

Lori Boutelle, LPC, pours into people from a posture of grace, knowing what many clients need most is genuine support as they process and understand their own story. Lori offers practical guidance while helping clients press in to being the truest version of themselves through freedom in Christ.

The epitome of encouragement, Lori commonly works with young women, moms and wives as they serve in their homes, families, ministries and workplaces. Lori knows how influential life can be inside the walls of a home, and particularly connects with women who have come to the end of themselves—who have realized they simply can’t just “will” themselves to be better in the presence of difficult patterns, trying situations, recurring issues or trauma. Lori works alongside her clients to figure out these issues and redeem setbacks by overcoming obstacles with truth.

Lori specializes in counseling women and families as they face anxiety and depression, challenging teen years, and a variety of relationship issues with children, friends, spouses or family. She helps people sort through family of origin matters and understand trauma. In addition to treating these issues, Lori is passionate about authenticity and replacing lies with truth in the present-day social media culture. Likewise, she helps clients understand how to step into a life-giving roles in the families, communities and churches in which they’ve been placed.

Prior to joining Steeple, Lori worked for eight years at Iris Counseling in Wauconda, IL counseling families during the teen years, teenagers, and women with anxiety, depression and relational issues. Before Iris, Lori counseled and served as the Director of Intake and Quality Assurance at a residential treatment center. Additionally, Lori’s professional experience includes working at a pregnancy and parenting agency coming alongside young women and new moms with unexpected pregnancies to help prepare for parenthood.

As a mom and wife herself, Lori believes in pouring into families to make them strong and healthy. Lori is active in her local church and has many years of experience serving in ministry as a small group leader and youth ministry leader.

Lori holds a Master of Science in Community Counseling from National Louis University in Illinois, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Evansville in Indiana.
