Sometimes it feels like God is whispering, and other times, it feels like he’s writing in the sky with a fanfare of signal flares (oh, and a mariachi band).
That’s how the seed for Steeple began in 2010, out of a resounding burden that there was a gap in counseling for the person who loves God deeply, but is trying to understand and cope with brokenness amidst a fallen world.
Christ’s vision for his church was always to be a place for the broken. After all, why else would he say in Mark 2:17 that “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
The reality is, many pastors are trained to understand the things of God, but are understandably not trained in professional counseling techniques. Likewise, “Christian counselors” are often unable to recognize the power and necessity of gospel transformation.
Herein lies the gap.
Our passion is to partner with the church and restore it as a place—the place—that is most equipped to handle your hurt and hardships.
