Sheri pursued the counseling profession to bless the body of Christ and better care for hurting people. She works with people struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, compulsive behaviors, addiction, sexuality concerns, trauma, abuse recovery, marital problems, and relationship conflicts. Sheri is passionate about facilitating spiritual growth in the lives of her clients, wanting them to feel both encouraged and challenged in their healing process in order to make necessary changes.
One of Sheri’s primary therapy goals is to provide a safe place for Christian people to talk truthfully about uncomfortable issues. She works with individuals, couples, groups, and families and considers it an honor to be a part of the life journey God has planned.
Having grown up in a non-denominational Christian church with a father serving as a pastor, Sheri is personally familiar with the joys, pressures, and conflicts associated with working in Christian ministry.
Sheri has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, and a master’s degree in mental health counseling with a specialization in human sexuality. Prior to Steeple Counseling, she ran a Christian coaching ministry for people experiencing unwanted same-sex attractions, sexual/pornography addictions, sexual abuse trauma, and gender confusion.
