Deborah Hirschhorn, LPC

Deborah Hirschhorn, LPC has been drawn to the power of stories from a young age. Being a clinician at Steeple, she offers an empathetic and intentional space where individuals can wrestle with their stories as they process, heal, and pursue growth. Her philosophy of counseling is client-led, as each person brings in their own unique stories and experiences to the counseling space. She understands the importance of clients feeling seen and heard, and she works with individuals to establish trusting relationships. Having solid, authentic connections is crucial to growth, and Deborah takes the time with her clients to slow down and simply have space for whatever’s needed. The brokenness of the world so heavily affects us as human beings, and Deborah wants to walk with clients through that wrestling, with eyes ever fixed on Jesus.

Deborah enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults facing a variety of concerns. She helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, academic pressures, emotional regulation, and spiritual concerns. She is also passionate about supporting individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, abuse recovery, addiction, eating disorders, sexuality concerns, and spiritual trauma. Whether a client is facing a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck, Deborah strives to provide a supportive space where healing, growth, and lasting change can occur.

Her counseling style is relational, client-centered, and collaborative. Deborah recognizes that each individual brings unique experiences, strengths, and goals into the counseling process, and she works alongside clients to help them gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and build resilience.

Deborah draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. She takes a holistic view of wellness, recognizing the connection between emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual health. Rooted in her Christian faith, Deborah thoughtfully brings biblical principles into the counseling process while helping clients develop practical tools for growth, healing, and renewed hope.
